The New Age of Literature

With new times come new change. Literature's migration to digital eBooks is inevitable. Although physical books have many benefits, soon all books will be published digitally. Hannah states that books provide an experience like no other, but so does an iPad. An iPad is just as "magical". A children enters a world of imagination when using an Ipad. They may not be able to turn every page but with a swipe of a finger they can experience a new page just in a different world. Ebooks are also more convenient. Students are now required to haul several books around school everyday but with the convenience of an iPad or Kindle, they would only need to carry an eBook. With its growing popularity, it's important to embrace the change. Not everyone may enjoy the digital experience, but soon it will be the main standard.

  1. You make a solid point when you refer to the "magical" quality of the iPad. Is it this magical nature of the device that convinced you to side with digital or Dustin's argument?

  2. I think it's the magical nature of the iPad rather than his argument. Before reading both of the articles I preferred digital readers over traditional books. I love technology and had a strong opinion about the topic prior to reading his argument. Dustin's argument helped confirm my decision although I do still feel the need for some kind of physical books once in a while.
